Gong Bath – Crystal Palace

This session is held at The Upper Norwood Library Hub (39 Westow Hill, Norwood, London SE19 1TQ)which is a multi-purpose community and performance arts space, a short walk from both Crystal Palace and Gipsy Hill train stations.
Everyone is welcome – experienced meditators and those curious to try a gong bath for the first time. The beauty of a gong bath meditation is that anyone can enjoy it, no experience necessary. (Please see note below about circumstances where gong baths might not be suitable).
The sound and vibrations from the gong help to centre the mind, calm the nervous system, and restore vitality to the body.
Here are a few suggestions for what to bring:
- Something comfortable to lie on, such as a yoga mat
- A blanket or warm jumper
- A pillow for your head
- Something to cover your eyes with
Spots are very limited so grab yours now!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Gong baths are not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker, anyone who suffers from fits (epileptics), or anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy due to the unstable nature of pregnancy during that time. If you wear a hearing aid, your device should be turned off during the session. If you have any concerns, please speak with your doctor in advance.
Who will be leading the session?
This session will be led by Nicola Kelly. Since qualifying as a sound therapist in 2016, Nicola has been proud to serve her community. She is committed to not only providing quality sound baths to help participants manage stress but goes beyond to ensure that they also learn techniques for greater wellbeing and connection. Nicola’s Sound baths use research-based approaches to stress management. Helping you to manage stress and establish greater mind-body balance through unique mindfulness practices. In her spare time Nicola likes to spend time with her dog exploring local parks and woodland…oh and she also dabble’s in a bit of art.
