Friends of Gipsy Hill: Action Days

With the help of the local community Friends of Gipsy Hill have started to transform what was environmentally impoverished land by Gipsy Hill station into a wildlife habitat, an educational and community space, and a beautiful green garden!

Over the years the land adjoining Gipsy Hill station along Sainsbury Road had deteriorated considerably, making the station less enjoyable to use and encouraging littering and fly tipping. Friends of Gipsy Hill have made huge improvements to the area, making the walk to the Platform 1 entrance more enjoyable and the area a positive place for all those who live and work around it.

Monthly Gipsy Hill action days take place in the community gardens at Gipsy Hill station, located by Platform 1 (next to Sainsbury Road), usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month between 10am – 2pm.

You can take part and help transform these gardens!
